Customer Reviews
It was just what I needed
Customer Rating:At first, I watched a video in youtube "How to install a RAM memory" it looks very easy so I decided to upgrade my RAM memory, I was between Kingston and Crucial at the end I decided for crucial(it was cheaper). It was little bit tricky to insert the memories, I had to try three times, the first two my HP didn't recognize them and I was worried, then I realized that I had to push more in order to insert them correctly. I upgrade from 1GB to 2Gb, the increase in speed was awsome, I strongly recommend to upgrade your RAM memory before even think in upgrade your computer. My laptop is a HP DV6225US, and this kit fits perfectly to it.
Just what I needed
Customer Rating:The RAM chips are doing their job and I am very satisfied. The chips were delivered ahead of schedule and were well packaged. Good product.
Crucial 2GB RAM set
Customer Rating:I installed the modules and at first they didn't work, then by using a lot more force to ensure they were seated correctly, all is well and they work great. I noticed an improvement in speed and performance immediately. I'm very happy with this.
Does what it's supposed to, but a few problems
Customer Rating:I previously had 2 512 MB sticks in my laptop and upgraded to these 2 1 GB sticks. The shipping was super fast. I used the super saver free shipping and got the memory in the mail 2 or 3 days later. My computer operates a little faster, obviously, but I have also gotten the bsod 3 or 4 times in the 3 weeks that I've had the upgrade now and I had never gotten the bsod before upgrading my ram. I've checked to make sure the sticks are installed properly and they are so I am still trying to figure out what is causing the problem.
Good price, product, and service
Customer Rating:I ordered this from Amazon because it was cheaper than on Crucial's site plus I used free shipping and save some more money. I used Crucial's site though to download their program which reads your computer and tells you exactly what you have now and what is compatible with your computer. (By the way for those who complained that they thought they were getting one card of two gig, there it clearly says that it is two separate gig not one card)
I then thought I had an issue because the computer was beeping and wouldn't turn on until I removed the old half gig of memory and just had the two new gig. I was about to rate this less than five star and decided to call Crucial first. Their technical support was very knowledgeable, nice and helpful. This, even though I told them that I bought it from Amazon rather than straight from them. The solution worked as he said it should.
I wish all customer and tec support would go so smoothly.
